01 ADANA Spending a weekend in Adana felt like tr 01 ADANA

Spending a weekend in Adana felt like traveling the world! @leaabroad and me experienced so many different emotions in such a short time 😅 from freezing to sweating, being energetic to scared. Really everything but the trip was a memory that we will never forget!

1️⃣ Exploring the Kapıkaya Canyon and losing my drone while shooting a video
2️⃣3️⃣ Camping at Varda Viaduct and not knowing that this wouldn't be the best idea
4️⃣ After we heard a pack of wolves howling around us we decided to run back to the car and stay the night in the car
5️⃣6️⃣ Probably the best and cheapest döner Dürüm I ever had in my life! It was so delicious. Chicken with lots of greens and garlic sauce
7️⃣ Renting a boat on the Seyhan River and feeling like being on a vacation
8️⃣ Of course we had to try Adana Kebab and I must say that it was a good decision 😁
9️⃣ @leaabroad looked for a magnet of Adana but couldn't find one. So the shop owner at the airport called his wife and ordered her to bring the magnet from their fridge. 30 min later @leaabroad had a magnet and we will never forget this kindness of the shop owner and extra effort he put in just for a random stranger like @leaabroad 😂

Why is creativity so important? I personally beli Why is creativity so important?

I personally believe that creativity is the most important skill in the world. Why?

It allows us to look at things from different perspectives.

Today we are all programmed to follow a certain path. Everything that we learn in school, in our job, even from our parents... is predetermined.

If you decide to follow a creative path people will tell you it's risky and uncertain. No money unless you are really talented.

I think our minds are a chaotic place and creativity helps us release the thoughts in our mind without any restrictions.

Freedom of expression is so important to a person's well being and creativity is the key to escape from this world full of restrictions.

Creativity comes in many forms and shapes. Whatever you chose.. it's worth exploring 💛
Waiting for a lift in the 2nd largest desert of t Waiting for a lift in the 2nd largest desert of the world. Took this picture in October last year in China's Taklamakan Desert along the old silk route.

The name Taklamakan comes from the Uyghur language and basically means 'you can get in, but you can't get out'.

I came out alive but I'm telling you it was an adventure.

It will be part of my film "Visa World" which is in the finish line.

#coronasucks
During Corona I had a lot of time to reflect on my During Corona I had a lot of time to reflect on my life, to work on new projects, edit my film (yes still working on it hehe) and settle down in my favorite city - Istanbul.

One of the reasons why I'm so in love with filmmaking and publishing videos is because it makes me feel alive and relive old memories.

When I was younger I've written lots of diaries, because I didn't want to become old and forget about the life that I was living.

Now it's not my diary anymore, but my YouTube channel, my instagram and all the secret offline videos (hehe) that I have.

It feels good to look back and remember all these moments, days, years and reflect on them. Think about the past and how to create the future.

2020 was decent! Hehe hope you're all doing well despite these crazy days.

Pic was taken moments before I met @veri_worldwide on a train trip through Iran.

ADVENTURE What does it even mean in today's world ADVENTURE

What does it even mean in today's world? I think it's the feeling of leaving your comfort zone. The feeling to do something risky compared to our daily life. Sleeping outside, traveling, talking to strangers, going on a trip. I think an adventure is something so unusual and exciting that it makes us feel alive again. And that's why it's so addicting to so many of us. When I look back at the last 6 months I realize that I had the biggest adventure of my life. And I'm super grateful that I did it, that I live in the circumstances to do it and that I'm healthy enough to "risk" a great adventure like that one. And now that I'm back to my daily life I realize that one doesn't have to be far to adventure 💛
Look at this ice cone as it would be an opportunit Look at this ice cone as it would be an opportunity. It looks sweet and delicious but if you don't stop looking at it, it will melt away. Go for it and take a big big bite.

That's how my last 6 months felt like. Every day was another opportunity. Starting this trip was the biggest opportunity I ever created for myself and I'm glad that I did not only look at it but took a big big bite.

I swear I remember my first day like it was yesterday. I was stressed, tired and didnt want to leave my comfort zone (I even postponed my trip 2 weeks). But after I jumped into the first stranger's car who gave me a lift all of my negative feelings vanished.
And now it's my last day before I return back to home and start a new beginning in my favorite city.. Istanbul. This trip is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I grew with every step and most importantly: I fulfilled my dream to do something to help children on the Philippines. And now going back with another challenge: creating my first movie. 🧁

📍Saudi Arabia There is no country in this worl 📍Saudi Arabia

There is no country in this world that peaked my curiosity like the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It's not only the fact that the culture, the mindset and the landscapes are so different than in any other country. It's more the fact that KSA was so closed to tourism and didn't allow travelers like me to explore this mystical land. And there wasn't much known about the travel experience in KSA.
Since KSA introduced its new visa policy and an easy way to enter the country I knew that it wouldn't take long for me to come here. And oh my god.. Was I surprised when I entered the country.

Forget your stereotypes about Saudi Arabians and delete that image you have in your head when you think of the kingdom. It's everything else than that. I never got invited into a Sheikh's house before, I never had a sip of this yellow deliciousness of Arabic coffee, I've never seen man with flowers in their hair and I never had an insight into a women's mind which is hidden under the Niqab. The country might have been closed for some time but the people's hearts are more than open and welcoming.
KSA introduced me to all these new experiences without asking for it. The life here is different. It's different and interesting. Many things here work differently and so is traveling here. Infrastructure is poor and public transportation is not made for the ordinary backpacker.

Do I like it here? Yes. It's not the cheapest place to visit and it takes a while to figure out how things are here but once you get in touch with the locals - your view on Saudi Arabia will change. For good.

WE DID IT! . 2019 ended with an amazing mission ac WE DID IT!
.
2019 ended with an amazing mission accomplished: We raised 125,216.59 Philippine Pesos (2,466.35 USD) for the NGO KAUGMAON for Children's Rights and Social Development.
.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for every single donation and for believing in the impact this project has. When I started my journey on August 11th, 2019 I never believed that we could raise so much money, but I knew one thing for sure: If I didn't try, I would never know. And that was the greatest lesson I learned in 2019. Chase your dreams, go for it and dont look back, just forward
.
During my time on the Philippines we conducted several children’s activities and feeding programs in Mindanao, specifically the areas around Davao City (SPS, Muslim Village, Maputi, Sarog, Davao City and Boringot). We went to remote villages up the mountains, to places where indigenous people live, we crossed 4 rivers by motorcycle, and slept in the slums of Davao City while others had their christmas celebrations. It wasn't always easy, but it was worth it. We did everything to reach the right children. We used the donations to buy food for the feeding program, school supplies, hygiene products, gifts and toys and to cover transportation costs to the areas.
.
During the activities we spent 85,909.20 Philippine Pesos. More than 600 children (+ many more parents and family members) benefitted from the activities. The remaining money was fully and 100% given to KAUGMAON to continue their fight against child labor on the Philippines.
.
It was a very emotional time for me. I've seen many children again (from 3 years ago) and it was heart breaking to see their smiles. They smiled because we gave them food and basic necessities! They were so happy about some crayons, paper, soap, towels etc. and I hope everyone can experience this joy about basic needs at least once in their life.
.
"And in a world where we can be everything. Chose to be kind". It's the greatest gift.
.
Thank you for joining me on this crazy journey. I will be back home in a few weeks and I will work on the movie about this project.
.
Happy new year 💛

During my road trip through #Pakistan I lost my wallet in a small place in SWAT and I will never forget how two locals were chasing us with their car. First I thought they want to hurt us haha but then they jumped out and gave me my wallet! I didn't even realize that I lost it. That's just one of the many many kind gestures I encountered while traveling through Pakistan.

Thanks to @marwatsanaullah and @being_niazali for organizing the trip and hanging out with us and of course @veri_worldwide for being a great camera and insta girl haha I can see a bright future for you! :D

#China! They gave us 30 days to get to know each o #China! They gave us 30 days to get to know each other and what can I say.. It wasn't always easy with you. It was really hard to break the ice between us and the first days you even ignored me but slowly slowly I got the chance to see your real face. You can be charming and sweet but still there is some tension between us. Thanks for the yummy food though, was really good and we had some unforgettable days together. I want to see you again, but for now it's just about time to take a break 💛
Hiking up Mt. Huashan was an epic adventure and I' Hiking up Mt. Huashan was an epic adventure and I'm soo proud of me that I didn't take the cable car up there 😂 I remember how we were on our way to the mountain and a Chinese asked us for how many DAYS we would stay ahahaha so we used all our energy and made it to the top within 8 hours and got rewarded with a great view. The crazy thing is.. They closed the top right after us. So if we were 10 minutes late.. We would have cried for real haha. After the sunset we had to go back down.. But luckily the cable car was still running and we made it back to Xi'an around 10pm. My body hurts but it really feels like a great accomplishment and I'll never forget China's most "dangerous" hike.

My #Pakistan experience 🇵🇰 no words needed. My #Pakistan experience 🇵🇰 no words needed. I had the lowest expectations and got the greatest surprise 💛
It's my last day in Pakistan and what can I say? I It's my last day in Pakistan and what can I say? I'm sad to leave. I came here with many prejudices and I'm leaving with a different mindset. Actually I didn't plan to visit Pakistan but because another country rejected my visa application.. I kinda had to come here and.. This.. Was.. The best decision I made. I came here without any plan and I am leaving with many friends that I am already planning to visit again here. I had an intense travel time here and I grew as a person. Why? Because I threw myself into the unknown. And I survived it. #Pakistan taught me a big lesson and it gave me the strength to move on and to keep believing in the good of people. I lost my wallet here and 2 locals jumped into their car and chased us to give it back to me. I wanted to use a family's washroom and they insisted on treating us for lunch. I got sick and people cared about it more than my own family haha and I met more generous souls than I've ever met before in my life. Thank you Pakistan! Your people are amazing. I will miss you 💛 🔜🇨🇳
